Our Programs
CNA PROGRAM (CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT):
The primary objective of the Basic Nursing Assistant Program is to provide students with the hands-on training necessary to offer high-quality care to patients while working alongside other qualified health care professionals. Course offerings include training in nursing homes and home health agencies, as well as courses of study and practice in skills related to patient care. Students divide their time between classroom and laboratory instruction to best equip them to sit for the State of Michigan Certified Nursing Exam or secure entry level employment in the health care or nursing industry.
Course duration: 4 Weeks
Training Day Classes Evening Classes
Classroom Teaching Monday - Friday Monday - Saturday
Laboratory Sessions 4 weeks long 4-6 weeks long
Clinical Practicum 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m 4:00p.m. - 10:30p.m.

CPR and First Aid Introduction - Adult/Child/Infant :
Training is either American Heart Ass. or Red Cross sponsored. Students will receive certification from the sponsoring organization. Required for providers of community-based services to children (ages 1-12 or under 55 lbs)
Required for ANYONE directly, or indirectly, involved in providing services to consumers. Includes clerical/administrative support. (Certification is good for 2 years for all CPR & FA.)
Course duration: Four 2 Hours
DCW PROGRAM (Direct Care Worker):
This entry level Direct Care Staff program is designed to prepare students to work with developmentally disabled and mentally impaired adults or seniors. Students that complete this program will be able to work in licensed Adult Foster Care settings. Students must pass all eight units in order to receive the certification which will allow them to work independently in a licensed facility.
Course duration: 2 Weeks
